On Sunday 5th September, as well as launching our extension service in Mansfield, we will also be joined by Gary Rucci, who will be speaking at our 9am and 11am services in Ilkeston.

Gary has been in full time ministry for more than 21 years serving alongside some of Australia’s best christian leaders. He is known for his passionate communication style, practical and insightful teaching and ability to inspire people to live with a greater sense of purpose. He served for many years as national representative for European based mission Next Wave International led by Mal Fletcher and networked extensively on behalf of Chinese City Gospel Mission led by Brother Mak. He also served for 8 years as Regional Action Team leader for Europe representing ACC World Missions.

In 2008 his family relocated to Brisbane after serving in Adelaide for 14 years, twelve of them with the 5000 member Edge Church International led by Danny Guglielmucci, where he served as Executive Pastor. He recently resigned from his position on the executive leadership team at City Church Brisbane, which is a multi-site church of 4000 people led by Pastor Wayne Alcorn (President of Australian Christian Churches). Gary’s portfolios have included many things over the years including youth, missions, leadership training, discipleship, preaching and strategy development and implementation.

Gary has travelled to more than 40 nations and together with his wife Nikki have led more than 500 people on short term missions teams. Nikki is also an ACC credentialed minister and is passionate about discipling and mobilizing women for effective ministry. They have three children Steffany (20), Christopher (17) and Jonathan (10). In 2010 Gary has been ministering in Australia, South Africa and UK under the banner of his ministry called Glocal Catalyst Ministries (GCM) which helps local churches develop their missional strategy, leadership development, discipleship methodology, and ministry infrastructure.

There will also be worship from the Arena Church worship team, and the coffee shop will be open after the services.  Kids Church and Creche also run during the 11am service.  As in all our services, visitors are most welcome to join us for this event.  To find out more about our 9am and 11am services in Ilkeston, click here.
