TIM AND HELEN BAILIE

Arena Church Ilkeston

Campus Pastors

Tim and Helen have been married since 1998 and have two boys; Jack and Ben.

They have a heart for people, to see them come to know Jesus and to grow in their relationship with Him. They are excited to see what God is going to do in the life of Arena Ilkeston as well as cheering on the other campus pastors across Arena church.

Their passion is to see Arena Ilkeston filled to the brim with people from the town and beyond that have found Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and that can testify of the amazing difference that HE makes in their lives.

ARENA CHURCH IN ILKESTON

Arena Church is a place where everyone can belong, our ethos is that “everybody is somebody at Arena”. This is no new idea of ours, it comes from the heart of Jesus, he hung around with the majestic and maligned, the businessman and the beggar, the politician and the prostitute and he loved them all. Jesus heart is for everybody, and that is our heart at Arena. We are seeking to build a Church that reaches every area of society, where everyone is welcomed with open arms. Wherever you are in your life, you will be welcomed at the Arena.

Our Sunday services reflect the inclusive nature of Jesus, whether you have never stepped foot in a Church and just want to ‘see what it’s all about’ or whether you have been in Church your whole life, there is something for you. Our services reflect the greatness of our God alongside the reality of our humanity. They are passionate, intimate, exciting and engaging as we seek to go on this journey called life together. We don’t want you to put on a mask or a facade, we want you to come as you are.

We are one Church in many locations. Each of our campuses reflects the heart of Arena but also the community in which we are placed. We would love to welcome you to one of our campuses this week.

PLAN A VISIT/FAQ’s

What are the service times?

Sunday 10:30am at Arena Church Ilkeston 1 Rutland street Ilkeston DE7 8DG

Where do I park?

We have a car park with a team of attendants who will be waiting to show you to a space. If the gates are closed, there are no spaces left, but there is also street parking available nearby.

What about my Kids?

We’ve created a safe and dynamic service for your kids aged 4-11 where they can worship and grow in their understanding of God! Our kids stay in for worship and then go down to Kids church as the message is about to start. We also hold Kids Unleashed on the first Sunday of every month, where the kids will be in Kids Church for the whole of the service.

What about my teenagers?

Students ages 11-17 are a part of our regular worship services on Sunday mornings. On the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30pm we have Arena Students.

Is there a dress code?

We want you to feel comfortable. Whether that means jeans and a t-shirt, business casual or suit and tie, as long as you are actually wearing clothes, you will fit right in.

Will I have to say anything or be singled out in any way?

You can breathe easy, the answer is no! Your level of engagement is completely up to you. But if and when you’re ready to take a step, we’ll be ready! There’s a Connect Card that you can choose to fill it out in case you have questions, need prayer or if you’d like to be in the know for church-wide events and activities.
